Easter and Conference

We had a great weekend. Depite the lack of family and get togethers, we really had a nice time together as our little family.

This weekend was special not only because of Easter, but it was also General Conference for us. (A worldwide meeting/broadcast where we listen to our prophet and apostles speak to us for 5 2-hour sessions over a weekend). It was an amazing conference and I really felt spiritually recharged. There were so many good messages and themes. I can't wait to keep listening to them over again and read them too. I think our family really will do better at coming closer to Christ over the next six months until we hear from them again.

We didn't do much in the way of Easter baskets. Easton got a few great things from Grandma. I dyed eggs alone because I am the only one who appreciates it so far in our little family. I LOVE Easter dinner and apparently I'm not alone. Easton is also a fan it seems. We had a ham, potatoes, peas, rolls, fresh pineapple, and strawberry pie! Easton LOVES ham and whipped cream. He also ate lots of peas and potatoes. I made my own pie crust and although it didn't look gorgeous, the pie really turned out!

Easton is now officially a walker. He walks much more than he crawls and has even done a few pivots and turn-arounds. He stole his first piece of candy from the store yesterday. I didn't realize it until we got to the car so we marched right back it. It was pretty funny.
I had a Dr.'s appt yesterday and got about 5 vials of blood drawn. So far, so good. We'll find out what we are having in 9 weeks. That's really what we are excited for.
Just like his Dad, Easton discoverd a LOVE for whipped cream.
