Easton 4.0

Yesterday our little guy turned 4 months. I can't believe how fast the summer has flown by. It still seems like it should be spring to me, but being busy with a baby sure makes the time pass quickly. He had his 4 month check up today and we got some new stats....

Height: 25.39 inches

Weight: 15 lb 6 oz

Head Circumference: 43.4 cm

He is at about the 75th percentile for everything. Dr. Luba gave him an A+ on his visit. He is the picture of good health. Luckily Dr. Luba also gave me some great articles about "Trained Night Feeders". Easton hasn't been sleeping throught the night in the least which has been so much fun for mommy. We'll be crying it out quite a bit in the next few weeks I think.

Easton got his first shots today too. I was a bit leary of giving him all of his shots right away, but after some deep research we decided to start today. I found some really good articles that taught me a few things I didn't know. These are 2 articles I really liked.

Good luck "crying it out". I cried right there with Carson that whole week. But now he goes down for naps and bed without rocking or nursing! Hallelujah! It's such a big releif when you get there. Don't give up - you can do it. :)

wow! he is a pound bigger than Oliver.. Must be those night time feedings! I'm sorry, I know that can be really rough. If you are interested, you can check out the book, "On becoming babywise", it pretty much trained me when I had Milo, and when I do the method, it works like a charm.. But sometimes, crying it out is the only way. He'll never remember! Good luck!

He is such a cute boy.

I concur with what everyone else has said. Crying it out is painful for everyone but it is temporary and then everyone gets more sleep and that is definitely a good thing! Hang in there.

What a little stud! He looks like he is ready to start walking. I love the cute rain jacket. I hope the crying out goes ok. We haven't started that with Brinley yet... probably soon. Do you want me to send you some earplugs? I think that will help :)

He is such a cutie! We really need to get together soon! Good luck getting him to sleep through the night.... Leath goes to bed fine, we did have a few nights of him crying it out though....he still wakes up sometimes around 4 or 5 to eat-
