January Flew By

We are moved in and finally getting around to documenting the last few months. The move in went great thanks to so many helping hands from our ward. We got it all out of the truck in an hour and nothing was really damaged during the trip. Luckily Soren didn't have to start work for a few days, so we went to town on unpacking, organizing and hanging pictures. There were SEVERAL trips to and from Home Depot and Lowes- not that Soren was complaining. Now he has a never ending list of reasons to visit the home improvement store.
We are LOVING our new house and home. It really already does feel like home to us, and not just because I grew up here. We have made so many new fun friends, spent lots of time with family, and enjoyed the things a house allows. It is great to have people over for dinner and kids over to play. It is awesome to have a garage and a yard and so much storage!!! We feel so, so blessed to have the house of our dreams and that life is so great.

Other happenings: Kesler got his first haircut. We cut Eastons at around the same age. It grew in thick and quick so we decided to do the same for Kesler. It's so cute and fuzzy!

Enjoying the snow in more ways than one.

We have gotten so much snow! Its been crazy here and quite a difference from Seattle's mild winter weather. We can say we survived the Blizzard of 2011, although we didn't totally enjoy it. Much of the month of January we were either sick or snowed in or both.  We have a really nice neighbor who has helped us out with his snowblower and I have even done some shoveling.

Soren has been very busy with work which we suspected. He didn't get home until 10 last night and normally gets home after Easton is in bed. He does see us on the weekends and we try to make up for lost time during the week. We are just holding out for spring and praying his hours will let up a little then. Until then I am acquiring new skills as an almost single mom and really learning to appreciate the future days of having a hubby come home at a normal hour. I can say that I don't think I could have handled this at any other time before, so we are managing. We feel right and great about being here and are doing our best to make the most of it all.
